Please donate to this great opportunity, TTC's Matching Fund Drive Spring 2013. We have been generously endowed with a matching fund of $15,000 and ask you now to join us to raise $15,000 during this drive. Give what you can in any amount and together when we reach $15,000 your donation dollars will be matched and doubled! Through the generous support and hard work of donors like you and the grantor, $15,000 will become $30,000 towards the purchase of The Tibet Center’s home here in NYC.

The Tibet Center's New York Cithy Temple Project / Residence Fund 2013

As the oldest Tibetan Buddhist center in New York City our vision is to enable the spiritual development of all New Yorkers regardless of religious preference. To complement this mission we have established a building fund and have achieved the first third of our goal.

The completed project will include:

  • A spacious quiet atmosphere conducive to study and reflection
  • An open forum for discussion among all religions
  • A venue for public talks, lectures, and religious ceremonies
  • A library, reading room, and  learning center
  • TTC audio and video archives

For over 35 years, the Reverend Khyongla Rato Rinpoche and subsequently Khen Rinpoche Nicholas Vreeland have offered free weekly classes in Buddhist practice where they teach ancient Indian and Tibetan texts and methods of integrating these teachings into daily meditation and practice.

Your generous involvement in the project will enormously benefit the entire community.

As we turn to a new year join us in creating this unique ecumenical space. Please consider a tax-deductible donation of any amount toward this worthwhile endeavor.

Membership to The Tibet Center is $600 per year.  Members in good standing are entitled to attend the annual Members' meeting and eligible to vote on issues pertaining to the organization.
